The base pay range for this position is $72,800 - $76,960, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final compensation will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Our client is seeking a dedicated and passionate Detection Canine Handlers to join our elite team. This role is essential to our mission of delivering world-class canine detection services to their clients across the country.
Responsibilities
- Partner with a trained Detection Canine to conduct searches at client sites (corporate buildings, loading docks, vehicles, open areas, etc.)
- Transport yourself and your canine to/from client locations using your personal vehicle
- House and care for your assigned canine when off duty
- Maintain accurate training records and documentation
- Ensure up-to-date canine health records and monthly preventatives are maintained
- Liaise with client managers, law enforcement, and other stakeholders
- Be available for emergency response, demonstrations, and standby duty (including nights, weekends, and holidays)
- Follow all SOPs and SOWs during operational searches and training
- Must have a dependable personal vehicle
- Must be able to house and care for a working canine
- Ability to perform tasks accurately with minimal oversight
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
- Able to pass pre-employment screening
