We are looking for an experienced Employee Benefits Account Executive to join our team in Indiana, PA.
- As our clients’ primary point of contact, the Employee Benefits Account Executive manages and provides exceptional ongoing service to a designated book of business in a manner aligned with the goals and values of The Reschini Group.
- Works directly with client senior management and other representatives to ensure a high level of satisfaction with service, communication, education, and solutions.
- Builds trust and reliability through a personalized approach to delivery, with meaningful touchpoints and accurate and timely responses to requests/questions.
- Delivers timely communication regarding all client needs, such as employee education, renewals, proposals, plan design, utilization analysis, compliance, and other benefit issues.
- Maintains knowledge of clients’ and industry needs regarding benefits and provides information regarding legal/compliance issues and strategic benefit plan options.
- Proactively coordinates and communicates with clients, agency internal staff, and carriers regarding renewal process by anticipating issues and creating solutions. Reviews and presents client renewals in a timely manner.
- Coordinates with agency internal staff on the preparation of special materials and reports, including loss ratios, financial and benefit analyses, utilization reviews, and presents materials to clients as needed.
- Owns assigned Requests for Proposals (RFP) including communication with the prospective clients and driving the coordination with agency internal staff and carriers to deliver quotes as directed.
- As a subject matter expert, works to maintain current and proficient knowledge of employee health and welfare benefit programs including program design, funding methodologies, stop loss, compliance, legislation, industry trends, health care reform, utilization, financial and benefit analysis, and Section 125 plans.
- Maintains effective relationships with all stakeholders including clients, carriers and internal partners.
REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of the health benefits insurance industry, preferably from both a carrier and agency perspective. Understands market trends, can define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and convey complex data.
- Proven track record of developing successful strategic partnerships directly with high-level executives.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal and decision-making skills. Ability to work independently, exercising judgment and initiative as a self-starter.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with individuals at all levels, including clients, underwriters, coworkers, etc.; active listening, presentation and strong negotiation skills.
- Expert strategic project development, design, management, organization, resourcing and implementation skills.
- Critical thinking with ability to analyze and process information; understands mathematical and accounting concepts common in and relative to the industry.
- Proficiency with Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook).
- Physical dexterity to utilize computers and general office equipment.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle stressful situations.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION & LICENSING:
- Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in related field.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- PA Life, Accident & Health License
- Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel on occasion (minimal travel)
