The Repair Guy is a highly rated, system-driven handyman company serving Palm City, Stuart, and surrounding areas. We specialize in small-to-medium residential projects and are known for professionalism, trust, and clear communication. We are growing intentionally and building a performance-based sales team.

Role Overview

We are hiring a part-time Estimator responsible for:

  • Conducting in-person estimates
  • Presenting solutions and pricing
  • Closing work using a defined sales process
  • Answering customer questions related to open estimates or approved (pre-production) jobs

This is a sales-first role with limited pre-production customer communication responsibilities.
This is not a technician role and not a general customer service position.

Schedule

  • Part-time
  • 2 fixed days per week to start
  • Daytime availability required
  • Consistent schedule once established

Compensation

  • 100% commission-based compensation
  • Commission paid on collected revenue from jobs you personally sell
  • W-2 employee (part-time)
  • Minimum wage compliance for hours worked, as required by law

High performers can earn strong weekly income on limited hours.
Low performers will not.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet homeowners for in-person estimates
  • Conduct professional walkthroughs and gather accurate scope details
  • Present clear recommendations and options
  • Close work on-site when appropriate
  • Accurately document scope and notes in our system
  • Answer customer questions related to:
  • Open estimates
  • Approved but unscheduled work
  • Scope clarification prior to production
  • Maintain professional communication and brand representation
  • Execute clean handoff to office staff once work is sold

Scope Boundaries (Non-Negotiable)

This role does NOT include:

  • Performing any physical work
  • Scheduling jobs
  • Billing or payment collection
  • Warranty or callback management
  • Handling general inbound office calls
  • Post-completion customer complaints

You own the sale and pre-production clarity — not operations.

Who This Role Is For

You are:

  • Confident, outgoing, and comfortable in homeowners’ homes
  • Skilled at explaining value and pricing
  • Comfortable asking for the sale
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Calm and professional when answering customer questions
  • Motivated by performance-based income

Sales or in-home estimating experience is strongly preferred.

This Role Is NOT a Good Fit If You:

  • Want guaranteed or hourly pay
  • Are uncomfortable discussing money
  • Avoid closing conversations
  • Prefer a technician or hands-on role
  • Need heavy supervision
  • Dislike structured systems and accountability

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Clean background
  • Professional appearance and communication
  • Comfortable using a smartphone, CRM, and basic technology
  • Ability to work independently and manage follow-ups

Pay: Up to $1,000.00 per day
