Position Responsibilities:
- Responsible for establishing, managing, and applying processes related to patient admissions.
- Management of daily operations of the Admissions departments.
- Serve as an advocate for patients and families with regard to insurance benefits, treatment authorization and securing adequate financial resources to support clinically recommended treatment.
- Collaborate with and provide direction and assistance to other departments and sites regarding clinical issues and admission procedures.
- Conduct admission assessments when needed.
- Establishing and overseeing a training program for all department staff to ensure continuity of message with patients, families, and professionals that highlights exceptional customer service.
- Coordinate with various departments in the organization including finance, managed care, and clinical staff to facilitate the admission process.
- Support the Marketing and Professional Outreach departments by identifying and collaborating with referral sources and participating in outreach activities as appropriate.
- Provide mentoring and support to Admissions staff at other company locations, which may require occasional travel.
- Compiling and distributing monthly reports related to departmental metrics.
Education, Competencies and Credentials:
- Master’s degree in Human Services with a minimum of two years clinical, supervisory and management experience or related degree in the mental health field with commensurate experience required.
- FL licensure (LCSW, LMHC, LMFT) and experience working with eating disorder population is highly desired.
- Training or experience in finance, behavioral health insurance/managed care, economics, and/or business desirable.
