Day of Admissions Responsibilities:
- Providing orientation, support and guidance to patients and their families throughout the day of admission.
- Assisting with administrative tasks for admitting and discharging patients.
- This includes consents and financial documentation, and room assignments.
- Conducting tours of facility for prospective patients and families.
- Back up coverage for Administrative Assistant for Department.
- Facilitates group discussions, community meetings and other therapeutic groups.
- Provides 1:1 contact, individual support and crisis intervention as directed or needed.
- Monitors mealtime and documents meal compliance.
- Facilitates the after-meal support group.
- Attends required meetings and completes all required documentation
- Bachelor’s degree required in Social Service field, Or MA/MS in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or similar major.
- Experience with eating disorders and/or substance abuse preferred or 5 years direct patient care experience.
- Applicants must possess excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Be detail oriented and be able to work in a fast paced environment.
- Understanding and appreciation of women’s mental health issues is a plus.
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience with school personnel and knowledge of High School Curriculum required
- M-F 40 hours per week
