Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing maintenance issues, completing repairs, turning vacant units, and ensuring service requests are completed in a timely and professional manner. This position requires participation in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies.
Responsibilities
- Complete maintenance work orders efficiently and professionally
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and appliance issues
- Perform drywall repairs, painting, and general carpentry work
- Prepare vacant apartments for new residents, including unit turns and inspections
- Conduct preventative maintenance throughout the property
- Maintain common areas, grounds, and building systems
- Respond to emergency maintenance calls as needed
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company policies and safety standards
- Maintain accurate records of completed work orders and maintenance activities
- Provide excellent customer service to residents and team members
Qualifications
- Previous apartment maintenance or multifamily housing experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of:
- Electrical systems
- Appliance repair
- HVAC systems
- Drywall repair
- Plumbing
- Painting and general maintenance
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose maintenance issues independently
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to participate in an on-call rotation
- Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
Schedule
- Full-Time
- Monday through Friday
- On-call rotation required
