Job description:
The Nursing/Medical Assistant provides direct patient care and related services to support the nursing staff in delivering quality care to our patients. The Nursing/Medical Assistants play a critical role in ensuring that we can support our patients to the best of our ability.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- In this role, you will provide direct patient care and related services to support the nursing staff in delivering quality care to our patients.
- Provide direct patient care, including taking vital signs and helping with patient mobility.
- Assist nursing staff with administrative tasks, such as maintaining patient records.
- Follow all safety protocols and adhere to infection control guidelines.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of quality care.
- Ensure that patient rooms and equipment are kept clean and well-maintained.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Shows dependability by being punctual; maintains consistent attendance.
- Maintains a safe environment for patients and co-workers, transports patients and equipment as appropriate.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Successful completion of nursing assistant course or the equivalent.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
