The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for monitoring the outflow of capital for the company. This is an in-office position at our office in Vadnais Heights, MN.
Key Responsibilities
- Receives and verifies expense reports; reconciles expense and other financial reports with account balances and other office records. Match invoices with purchase orders and receipts, resolving discrepancies as needed
- Prepare payment batches for approval and execution
- Maintain accurate vendor records, including W-9 forms, remittance addresses, and contact information
- Reconcile vendor statements and respond to inquiries
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to AP
- Assist with financial reporting, documentation, and audit support as requested
- Coordinates with the Billing team on patient refunds, and facilitates related refund payments as needed
- Calculates and reports sales tax based on paid invoices
- Assist other finance or administrative tasks as needed
- High school diploma required.
- Business or Accounting degree preferred.
- At least one year of relevant work experience required.
- Certified Accounts Payable Professional (CAPP) certification preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related programs.
- Ability to learn accounting software systems.
- Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
