About the Role
The Inventory Assistant is a hands-on role that supports our Resale Department with daily inventory drops, preparing items for sale, and maintaining an organized and efficient inventory workspace. This role is ideal for someone who is detail oriented, proactive, and excited to work in a fast paced luxury resale environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with Daily Inventory Drops
- Unbox new shipments and evaluate inventory alongside Intake & Pricing Team for resale based on brand, condition, current market trends, and resale value
- Support the Intake & Pricing team by hanging items, breaking down and removing boxes, and organizing the workspace as needed
- Transport new inventory to the Live Show Studio as items are ready for sale
Steam & Prepare Items for Sale
- Carefully steam and prepare incoming luxury apparel and accessories to ensure they are camera ready for Live Shows, online listings, and the retail storefront
- Inspect items for wear, damage, or flaws and communicate any issues to the Intake & Pricing team
- Handle high value pieces with care and close attention to detail
Inventory Department Organization
- Assist with organizing inventory racks during daily inventory drops
- Help maintain the overall cleanliness and organization of the Inventory Department
- Support ongoing operational projects as needed
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks
- Proactive, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities may shift
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work well as part of a team
- Comfortable learning inventory management software and other digital tools used in the role
- Comfort and professionalism in a studio environment where models may be changing during Live Shows
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform tasks that require bending, lifting, and reaching, including lifting up to 30 pounds
- Genuine interest in fashion and luxury resale
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED
The Refind offers competitive compensation commensurate with experience and industry standards for the Seattle market. The pay for this role is $25 an hour.
