Job Summary
The Merchandising Assistant is responsible for all aspects of cross-country grain accounting and is expected to work with the location manager and other merchants to provide excellent service and meet the needs of our customers and end users. This role has primary responsibility for effectively performing all accounting tasks relating to the business in an efficient manner following all company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Keeping accurate and organized files.
- Timely invoicing of customers.
- Responsible for performing all assigned accounting tasks including entering/uploading tickets, processing freight payments and processing final settlements.
- Timely execution of payables. (Checks and/or ACH)
- Strong customer service skills required
- Efficient utilization and maintenance of Excel spreadsheets is a MUST.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to work and interact well with a variety of people.
- Applying operational and support principles and practices in related supply chain environment.
- Understanding and following policies and procedures.
- Preparing and handing of information and processes.
- Operating in a fast pace and changing environment.
- Operating in both a team and individual contributor environment.
- Communicating with co-workers to provide and receive direction.
- Preparing basic reports, queries, and operational information.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent combination of work experience is preferred.
Experience: 5 years of office experience in an agribusiness accounting environment is preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
