Role Overview
The Manager of Training & Development ensures consistent operational readiness and top-notch training across the Red Chickz system. You’ll lead new restaurant openings (NROs), develop training programs, support leadership development, and provide coaching to trainers and restaurant teams. You’re the bridge between strategy and execution, ensuring every franchise partner and team member is ready to deliver Red Chickz excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Training & Development Leadership
- Lead, coach, and support Certified Trainers to maintain consistent performance across the system.
- Mentor trainers and assist with Train-the-Trainer programs to strengthen capabilities.
- Collaborate with the COO and Operations team to identify and address emerging training needs.
New Restaurant Openings (NROs)
- Drive pre- and post-opening readiness planning and execution in partnership with cross-functional teams.
- Identify risks, track action items, and ensure timely completion of tasks for smooth openings.
- Step in as needed to support openings, maintaining continuity and quality during peak demand.
Program & Workshop Development
- Plan, coordinate, and deliver field-based workshops to build skills and system-wide capability.
- Continuously improve training content, facilitation, and learning resources based on feedback and results.
- Develop leadership and management-level training programs to support system development.
Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement
- Track post-opening and workshop performance to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Provide insights and reporting to optimize future training programs.
- Ensure accountability and consistency throughout the training lifecycle.
System Support & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Oversee Certified Training Restaurant (CTR) program, including certifications and scheduling.
- Partner with restaurant leaders and field trainers to ensure consistent onboarding, operational standards, and brand adherence.
- Conduct regular restaurant visits for coaching, audits, and ongoing training support.
- Deliver workshops and coaching that reinforce company culture and operational excellence.
Qualifications & Experience
- 5 years of restaurant training and development experience in high-growth or franchise systems.
- 2 years experience with New Restaurant Openings preferred.
- 2 years project management experience a plus.
- Experience within a franchise organization preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
- Ability to evaluate performance data to make informed decisions.
- Planning, prioritization, and organizational skills to balance strategic initiatives and urgent field needs.
- Technical proficiency: Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook), Adobe Acrobat, LMS systems, and online meeting platforms.
