What are the responsibilities and job description for the Coding Quality Educator position at The Rector & Visitors of the University of Virginia?
Individual contributors with responsibility in a professional discipline or specialty. Spends majority of time leading the design, implementation or delivery of processes, programs and policies using specialized knowledge and skills normally acquired through advanced education (typically University).
Established and productive individual contributor. Works independently with general to limited supervision. Problems faced are difficult and may be complex. May influence others regarding policies, practices, and procedures. May have project management responsibilities on small, less-complex projects.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor's Degree required or relevant experience may be considered in lieu of Bachelor's degree.
Experience: 5 years relevant experience required. 5 years of coding experience in a tertiary setting preferred.
Licensure: Coding certification through the AHIMA or AAPC as a RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCS-P, CPC, CCA, and CPC, preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Job requires sitting for prolonged periods, frequently traveling (no more than two miles); Repetitive motion: (Typing). Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull less than 20lbs. May be exposed to cold, heat and outdoor climate.
The pay range for this role is $85,000.00 - $102,857.00 annually. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.Benefits
