What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ambulatory Pharmacist - Community Retail position at The Rector & Visitors of the University of Virginia?
Enters physician orders into the appropriate computer system.
Processes physician's orders.
Checks and reviews pharmacy assistant/technician's preparation of orders.
Provides drug information to customers inside and outside of the Medical Center.
Practices pharmacy in accordance with regulations.
In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor's in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. Degree required
Experience: No experience required
Licensure: Commonwealth of Virginia State Board of Pharmacy License required. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Job requires standing for prolonged periods. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull < 20lbs. May be exposed to chemicals.
