Patient Care Coordinator - Receptionist/Scheduler (25 hours/week)
The Recovery Project in search of a Patient Care Coordinator at our Livonia clinic. The Patient Care Coordinator will be an integral part in ensuring the company’s scheduling and day-to-day operations for the company's 3 clinics run smoothly.
Job responsibilities include the following duties:
1. Obtain referral information from patients, verify insurance, schedule new patients, and reschedule missed appointments to ensure company productivity and cash flow goals are met.
2. Triage phone calls/in person questions and check patients into the company’s EMR including collecting co-pays/fees and required paperwork.
3. Log all new referrals/patients, track daily metrics, and share data with management using Excel and the company’s EMR.
4. Provide excellent customer service to patients and assist other team members, as needed, to maintain a high level of customer and team satisfaction.
5. Provide coverage for other Scheduling Team members within the company. Coordinate time off with Scheduling Team members to ensure proper coverage within the company.
6. Perform other Admin related duties and projects as assigned.
Preferred job requirements include:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience scheduling patients and verifying insurance (3 years on the job).
- Knowledge and understanding of insurance guidelines, ICD10 codes, and medical terminology a plus.
- Must be pleasant, patient, and capable of developing strong relationships and communicating with people.
- Commitment to providing excellent customer service and satisfaction
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to a fast-paced and changing insurance environment.
- Team Player with the ability to work independently and with co-workers in an effective manner.
- Strong work ethic and the desire to stay with the company long-term
- Effective time management and organizational skills
Schedule: Monday - Thursday 12:00-5:00pm, Friday 11:00-4:00pm (25 hours/week).
Expected hours: 25.0 per week
