What you'll do
- Manage and coordinate all phases of construction projects from inception to completion
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and clients to interpret project specifications and blueprints
- Conduct thorough construction inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards
- Oversee the work of subcontractors in various trades including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and masonry
- Utilize construction estimating techniques to prepare accurate budgets and timelines
- Operate heavy equipment as needed to facilitate various construction tasks
- Implement effective restoration practices for existing structures while managing remodeling projects
- Maintain clear communication with all stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
Basic qualifications
- Proven experience in construction management or as a general contractor
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics to guide project execution
Preferred qualifications
- Hands-on experience with power tools and hand tools across multiple trades including carpentry, roofing, and flooring installation
- Familiarity with Bluebeam software for project documentation and collaboration
- Knowledge of concrete forming, plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, glass installation, cabinet installation, tile laying, and hardscape techniques
