Duties
- Assist licensed speech-language pathologists in implementing individualized therapy plans for children and students
- Conduct therapy sessions under supervision, focusing on speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders
- Support early intervention programs by working with children from infancy through preschool age
- Help prepare therapy materials and maintain engaging activities tailored to each client’s needs
- Monitor progress and document observations accurately to inform ongoing treatment plans
- Collaborate with educators, caregivers, and medical teams to ensure cohesive care aligned with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment conducive to effective therapy sessions
Requirements
- New grads are welcomed.
- Familiarity with or willing to learn early intervention and preschool strategies and school-based therapy practices
- Strong understanding of speech therapy techniques and intervention methods for diverse communication needs
- Ability to work effectively within a school and clinic setting
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families
- Relevant certifications or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLP-A) are needed
Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
