The Parts Specialist plays a critical role in delivering an exceptional customer experience by sourcing and supplying parts efficiently and accurately. This position provides technical support to both internal teams and external customers while ensuring timely order fulfillment and inventory accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality customer service and technical support to internal and external customers
- Source, research, and identify parts based on customer needs and equipment specifications
- Process stock, emergency, and special orders in a timely manner
- Accurately enter and manage orders using the IRIUM system and other business tools
- Maintain accurate inventory levels, including cycle counts and physical inventory
- Receive, document, and process returned goods according to company procedures
- Input purchase order receipts and maintain up-to-date inventory records
- Support parts counter operations, serving as an initial point of contact for customers and vendors
- Assist warehouse staff as needed to support daily operations
- Assemble or cut chains, hoses, and cables as required
- Press tires as needed
- Promote company products and services to customers
- Collaborate with team members to meet departmental and company goals
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Required Skills & Abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and CRM/business systems
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving and research skills
- Professional, customer-focused mindset with a commitment to exceeding expectations
- Ability to maintain a safe and organized work environment
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Prior customer service, parts, or sales experience preferred
- Experience in material handling or related industry is a plus
- Certification in operating material handling equipment is beneficial
