Job Summary
The Subrogation Team Attorney is part of a dynamic and experienced team of attorneys that provides legal support and guidance to business operations. In addition, the Team Attorney handles an inventory of subrogation recovery files by investigating multiple sources of health insurance data to identify possible accidents and/or physical injuries, and recovers on those files.
Hours: Day shift, 40-hour work weeks. During training, 8am - 5pm. Flexible schedule options available between 7am - 7pm after six months of employment.
Setting: Professional office environment (with remote opportunity available after six months of employment based on performance).

Responsibilities
- Advises General Counsel on relevant legal issues regarding Subrogation Operations.
- Provides timely and suitable legal review and advice to assigned subrogation recovery team(s).
- Ensures that possible adverse suits and legal matters towards clients and Company are handled appropriately.
- Provides training in relevant legal issues as assigned to new and current analysts.
- Communicates with Subrogation Analysts as needed with information and guidance regarding new court decisions, statutes, and regulations and the potential impact on file handling.
- Handles an inventory of subrogation recovery files from opening to conclusion.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctorate from an approved ABA law school.
- License to practice law in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
- One or more years of experience in personal injury, criminal, or civil law preferred.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with a keen ability to communicate effectively throughout all levels of the organization.
- Very strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teams and clients.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
