Position Summary
The Rapid Group is seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse & Building Maintenance Helper to support daily operations at our Paterson, NJ facility. This role is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient work environment while assisting with warehouse functions, inventory management, and the handling of materials for service and repair jobs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine building cleaning and general upkeep of warehouse and shop areas
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workspaces, storage areas, and common areas
- Assist with inventory sorting, labeling, and organization of materials and equipment
- Support shipping and receiving operations, including loading and unloading deliveries
- Track and log incoming and outgoing packages, parts, and materials
- Ensure materials dropped off for service and repair jobs are properly received, documented, and stored
- Assist technicians and staff with locating and staging materials for jobs
- Dispose of waste and maintain compliance with safety and cleanliness standards
- Perform basic building maintenance tasks as needed
- Support additional operational needs as assigned
- Valid Driver’s License required
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous warehouse, maintenance, or general labor experience is a plus
- Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Basic computer skills for tracking inventory and packages are a plus
- Willingness to work occasional weekends as needed
