The Ranger Group, a leading US Engineering Solutions provider to companies across the Aerospace & Defense, Medical Device, Electronics and Industrial Manufacturing industries, is currently seeking a Systems Engineer with MBSE & DOORS expertise for a Direct Hire role with a Defense and Maritime Manufacturing client of ours in Danbury, CT. The work will be completed 100% onsite and the project has an expected duration of long-term permanent placement but could go longer.
Job Summary
Join a talented, growing team as a Systems Engineer. We are looking for systems engineering experts to support the architecture of complex systems, subsystems, and assemblies in the development of high-technology products for defense and commercial use. The ideal candidate will have extensive working knowledge of DOORS and expertise in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
What You Will Do
Compliance & Analysis: Analyze and apply complex customer and rigorous industry specifications to ensure product and project compliance.
Requirements Management: Utilize IBM Rational DOORS to develop and manage requirements (including the use of DXL scripts) and support the configuration control of master and supplier requirement modules.
Documentation: Generate formal design and requirements reports for official customer submittals.
Cross-Functional Communication: Communicate clearly (written and oral) across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, program management, and external customer stakeholders.
MBSE Leadership: Support current Cameo-based Model-Based Systems Engineering efforts with the long-term goal of becoming a local site lead developer.
Education & Experience Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
Experience: 4 years of engineering experience; experience working within highly regulated defense or aerospace environments is highly preferred.
Software Fluency: Proven fluency using IBM Rational DOORS for requirements management, including exposure to DXL scripting.
MBSE Expertise: Strong fluency with Model-Based Systems Engineering, preferably utilizing Cameo Systems Modeler.
Soft Skills: Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to effectively multi-task in a dynamic environment with changing schedules and priorities.
Security & Citizenship Requirements
U.S. Citizenship is required. * Candidates must meet strict corporate security standards as imposed by government regulations.
This position requires an active government security clearance or the ability to successfully obtain and maintain a clearance within a reasonable timeframe after employment begins.
