Role Overview
The Senior Electrical Engineer will design, develop, and test complex electrical circuits for power electronics, energy storage, and control systems. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise with hands-on lab experience and a proven ability to take designs from concept through production.
Key Responsibilities
Translate customer and program requirements into robust electrical designs.
Develop advanced PCBs for power supplies, battery chargers, and battery management systems.
Simulate and validate mixed-signal circuits using SPICE, MATLAB, or equivalent tools.
Drive design qualification to meet DO-160, MIL-STD-704, and MIL-STD-461 standards.
Lead Preliminary and Critical Design Reviews (PDR/CDR) to align with cost, schedule, and performance goals.
Troubleshoot and optimize designs using oscilloscopes, DAQs, and other lab equipment.
Create detailed test plans, reports, and acceptance documentation to ensure quality and reliability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring designs from concept to production.
Qualifications
7 years of circuit design experience focused on power electronics (AC/DC, DC/DC converters, battery chargers).
Strong background in analog and digital design, including PWM control, Power MOSFETs, and IGBTs.
Demonstrated ability to own designs from schematic through testing and release.
Familiarity with EMI/EMC principles and mitigation strategies.
Skilled in use of oscilloscopes, signal generators, and other diagnostic tools.
Experience with DO-160, MIL-STD-704, or comparable industry standards.
Proficient with simulation tools (MATLAB, SPICE) for modeling and optimization.
Experience in C/C for embedded systems a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
