What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dishwasher position at The Railpenny Tavern?
The Railpenny Tavern is looking for two par time dishwashers to round out its back of house team. This person should be a team player, understand food safety and cleanliness, and be able to work independently.
Ideally we are looking to this schedulexxx; Friday, Saturday, and a double on Sunday. The hours are from 3:30 to when the dish area is clean, which is most likely 10-10:30. (Sunday is 11-9ish) The responsibilities are as follow:
Responsibilities:
- Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans using dishwashers or by hand
- Place clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in storage areas
- Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in clean and orderly condition
- Sweep or scrub floors
- Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas
- Perform other kitchen duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a culinary or food service environment is preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness standards
- Ability to work well as part of a team and take direction from others
- Physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods of time
Starting pay is $17/hour for someone with no experience, but we are willing to pay more for an industry veteran. Please text me with any questions or to set up an interview, we are looking to hire ASAP.
