Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Oceanside, CA for an Assistant Swim Coach. Responsibilities include developing and conducting swim lessons, assisting in coaching sessions, providing personalized feedback to swimmers, overseeing safety practices such as lifeguarding, and promoting aquatic skill development. Candidates will support athletes of various skill levels by employing effective training techniques and fostering an encouraging, challenging, and safe swimming environment.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Swim Instruction, Swimming, and providing Swim Lessons
- Experience in Lifeguarding and knowledge of Aquatics safety standards
- Strong observational, communication, and motivational skills to inspire swimmers
- Ability to work collaboratively with the coaching team and provide a positive environment for all participants
- Relevant certifications such as CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguard Training are highly desirable
- Prior coaching experience or involvement in competitive swimming is an asset
