Primary Responsibilities
Responsible for developing the club’s events business focused on selling and executing meetings, events, and club programming events. The Private Events Sales Manager is responsible for leading the sales efforts for all private dining and banqueting spaces with the club and in achieving the financial goals in accordance with The ‘Quin service standards and ensuring high member satisfaction and an exceptional dining experience.

About This Role
- Ability to travel to meet with or call members and member referrals by telephone to solicit annual, week day and weekend business
- Meet and greet clients, conduct tours, and promote the facilities and services. Answers member inquiries regarding The ‘Quin
- Assist clients in planning and executing meetings and celebrations at The ‘Quin House
- Execute event planning and detailing for booked events
- Communicate with clients prior to events to initiate, negotiate, and close contracts for all private functions
- Create profitable menus and distribute client expectations to F&B departments
- Coordinate vendors (e.g. floral, entertainment, décor, A/V, etc.), to provide complete member satisfaction
- Physically verify all function arrangements against client specifications
- Ensure repeat bookings through client contracts and effective communication
- Update and increase client prospects through active prospecting
- Maximize revenues for the club through up-selling techniques
- Develop and conduct persuasive verbal sales presentations to prospective clients
- Develop member menus, write contracts and letters, as well as organize all other arrangements as they relate to social and corporate events
- Supervise and execute the overall set up and implementation of events and meetings. Communicate with relevant departments to ensure proper servicing of events
- Prepare and present weekly and monthly Catering/Sales reports
- Ability to produce Banquet Event Orders for each event
- Supervise the set-up of function rooms to include placement of linens, silver, china and glassware according to event order specifications
- Visually inspect function rooms and equipment prior to functions for cleanliness, proper inventory, and set up
- Ensure member service is within the standards of The ‘Quin
- Ensure service standards are met throughout the event operations team
- Generate a final guest check
- Resolve member concerns/complaints, address root issue
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

- At least five (5) years of experience in catering sales in a private club or related industry
- Demonstrated knowledge of event operations
- Startup/opening of hotels and restaurants experience preferred
- Service oriented style with professional presentations skills
- Results-driven leader who is fearless about execution, is creative, can champion a vision and roadmap, and is not afraid to dig into the details
- Dynamic, enthusiastic, creative leader who thrives under pressure and is able to perform multiple simultaneous functions and troubleshoot when needed
- A strong team player who supports their team and embraces ownership, accountability, and responsibility for the team’s work
- Must have proven selling, negotiating, and presentation skills
- Requires knowledge of advanced sales techniques
- Highly developed customer service skills with strong attention to detail
- Detail oriented, excellent prioritization, time management, organizational and follow up skills
- Demonstrated ability for process excellence and project management
- Good financial acumen
- Open availability and flexibility to work according to the needs of the business
- Comfortable with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
- Command of the English language, both written and verbal, with the ability to demonstrate warmth and empathy when engaging with others.
- Must be available for evenings and weekends for business reasons including attending business/social functions, entertaining clients and oversight of sales & catering client bookings and events
- High School Diploma or equivalent
