Summary
The Quilting Bee, Inc. is the region’s largest quilt shop and sewing machine dealer, and continues to grow. As a result, the Company needs to deliver excellent customer experiences through advanced marketing techniques.
Skill requirements
- 1 Year of Small Business Marketing Experience
- Creative, flexible, and independent working style
- Working Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
- Proficiency in Adobe Lightroom & Adobe Premiere Pro
- Experience with Adobe Photoshop, After Effects, and Illustrator
- 6 Months Experience in WordPress
- Working Knowledge of ecommerce sites
- Experience with Square point-of-sale and website or similar platform
- Proficient Knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, YouTube, & Pinterest
- 6 Months Experience with Google Ads and Facebook Ads, Meta Business Suite
- Working Knowledge of Whatnot or ability to learn
- Experience using Microphone Equipment
- 1 Year Experience with Mirrorless or DSLR Cameras for Photography and Video
- 6 Months Experience of SEO Optimization
- Experience with Canva or similar platform
Specific Tasks
- Keep the company WordPress website up to date with current events, specials, promotions, and prices. Constantly work to improve SEO performance, reduce loading times, update assets such as images, copy, and branding, prevent downtime, add and update plugins, and overall allow for an easy and seamless customer experience.
- Create advertising campaigns, both for long term awareness and for short term events, using the Google Ads Platform and Facebook Ads Platform.
- Create assets and manage relationships with print advertisers, such as The Inlander, Huckleberry Press, and others.
- Create in-store promotional materials, such as signs, price tags, etc.
- Manage the company’s social media accounts, including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Tik Tok, and Pinterest. Create regular content for each.
- Use store camera and other means to take appealing pictures & videos of products, the store itself, events, quilts, and anything else that may come up.
- Edit pictures, videos, and promotional materials using Adobe Suite, Canva, primarily Lightroom, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects.
- Create and manage the Quilting Bee Newsletter using Mailchimp, which is sent out to over 18,000 email addresses and promotes various upcoming events, new products, store updates, sales, etc.
- Film and edit promotional videos for The Quilting Bee YouTube Channel, primarily Sewing Machine overviews and tutorials. Also create Thumbnails, subtitles, descriptions, end cards, etc.
- Collaborate with the Livestream Host to film the weekly What’s Buzzing at The Bee! Facebook Live, which showcases new products, events, sales, etc.
- Collaborate with the Livestream Host to run the weekly Whatnot Live show, to sell a variety of items in a livestream format. Add products, promote the show, produce the livestream, and assist in packaging the sold items for shipment.
- Collaborate with other employees to create a full list of the classes, events, and specials. Publish these items on the calendar page of the main Quilting Bee website.
- Assist in planning, organizing, and running several events throughout the year, the largest of which is the annual WSQ Quilt Show each Fall.
- Assist in solving any technical issues relating to the website or adjacent matters.
- Regularly update the Quilting Bee’s Google listing with current information.
- Answer customer questions that are sent in via Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, Emails, Phone Calls, Etc.
- Manage relationships with outside marketing agencies and adjacent companies.
- Track analytics, communicate results and present strategies to management.

Required Education
- BA in Marketing or similar discipline.
Compensation
- $19-$23 per hour. Compensation will be based on experience.
- Available Supplemented Health Insurance.
