What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Artist - Jeweled Glassware position at The Queens' Jewels?
The Queens' Jewels is a rapidly growing business renowned for its exquisite glassware adorned with over 200 different jewels. Our products have gained nationwide recognition, being featured on popular television shows such as Good Morning America and The View. With our glassware stocked in over 3,000 stores across the country, we're dedicated to delivering exceptional quality and craftsmanship in every piece.
This is hands-on creative work for someone with an artistic eye. If you love making things by hand and have a natural sense for color, detail, and design, this is a chance to put those skills to work every day. We especially enjoy hearing from people with a background in fine arts, studio art, illustration, or design. Whether you're a recent art or design graduate or a lifelong maker, if you have an eye for beauty and steady hands, you'll feel right at home. Many of our most talented team members came to us looking for a place to use their creativity, and stayed for the craft, the team, and the steady work.
What you'll do:
- Hand-apply over 200 different jewels to glassware, using your eye for color, balance, and composition to make each piece beautiful and consistent.
- Contribute ideas for new jewel designs, color combinations, and application techniques.
- Inspect finished pieces for accuracy, consistency, and overall aesthetic appeal.
- Balance artistry with efficiency, meeting production targets without compromising on quality.
- Work closely with team members and the owner to coordinate schedules and ensure timely delivery of orders.
What we're looking for:
- An artistic eye: a strong sense of color, detail, and composition, the kind you develop through art, design, or lots of hands-on making.
- A creative background is a big plus: experience or education in fine arts, studio art, illustration, or design. A formal degree isn't required, and recent art and design graduates are warmly encouraged to apply.
- Steady hands and comfort doing precise, detailed work throughout your shift.
- Meticulous attention to detail and pride in flawless, finished work.
- Reliability, consistent attendance, and the ability to work well with a small team.
- Genuine enthusiasm for creating beautiful, high-quality products.
Portfolios or photos of your work are welcome but not required. If you've made things you're proud of, we'd love to see them. Join us at The Queens' Jewels and be part of a creative, close-knit team crafting products loved across the country.
