Queen’s Island Urgent Care Centers provide convenient, compassionate medical care staffed by boardcertified physicians and highly trained healthcare professionals. With six locations across Oahu, we offer easy access to highquality, walkin care for minor illnesses and injuries including on-site xrays, laboratory testing, and more. While urgent care is not a replacement for primary care, we serve as an important resource for patients needing timely after-hours treatment.
Our providers are experienced across a wide range of specialties, including adult medicine, pediatrics, gynecology, orthopedics, workers comp and others. We take pride in delivering patientcentered, evidencebased care to our island community.
Primary Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in Queen’s Island Urgent Care Clinics.
Clinical Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic and therapeutic care for patients presenting to Urgent Care.
  • Complete timely and accurate documentation and correspondence to ensure communication with community providers.
  • Maintain high standards of care and oversee the delivery and outcomes of the healthcare team, including physician assistants, while on duty.
  • Refer patients to and accept referrals from appropriate community agencies and healthcare resources.
  • Promote and actively participate in patient education.
Other Duties
  • Ensure all charge capture, documentation, and billing processes are completed accurately and in compliance with QMC guidelines and CMS regulations.
  • Participate in community presentations, outreach events, marketing activities, and Urgent Care quality improvement initiatives as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Medicine or hold ECFMG certification.
  • Current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Hawai‘i.
  • Board certified or board eligible in Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Emergency Medicine.
  • Must maintain membership in good standing on the Queen’s Medical Center Medical Staff with appropriate, unrestricted privileges throughout employment.
  • Qualified for an academic appointment at the University of Hawai‘i John A. Burns School of Medicine.
  • Three (3) years of outpatient and/or urgent care experience preferred.
Additional Skills
  • Experience with Workers’ Compensation evaluations and documentation.
Base salary begins at $275,952/year with opportunity for productivity and quality incentives.
