Job Summary

The Queen’s Health System Oncology is actively recruiting BOARD CERTIFIED/ BOARD ELIGIBLE HEMATOLOGIST/ ONCOLOGISTS to join our team. There are exceptional opportunities for applicants with experience or directly from training. Our hematology/oncology team collaborates with surgeons, radiation oncologists, pathologists, and radiologists to develop a plan tailored to the individual patient to achieve the best possible outcome. We work with the University of Hawaii Cancer Center to provide our patients opportunities for novel treatments through an extensive portfolio of clinical trials.

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Provider will work in our established, busy practice with strong referral base
  • Primarily outpatient practice
  • Team approached care with nurses and social workers available to help patients navigate their cancer care
  • Schedule: 4-day work week with no call
  • Procedures: Bone marrow biopsies, consultations, disease diagnosis, and treatment planning
  • Manage a patient base of adults 16-20 patients a day
  • Access to multidisciplinary subspecialty tumor boards for collaborative discussion of complex and challenging cases
  • Opportunity to participate in clinical research and to teach fellows
  • Eligible for faculty appointment at the University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine
  • EPIC EMR utilization (system-wide)

Minimum Qualifications

  • Board Certified/ Board Eligible in hematology/oncology
  • Unrestricted Hawaii MD or DO license or the ability to obtain an unrestricted license
  • J-1 opportunities are available
