Field Application Scientist
We are seeking qualified candidates for the role of Field Application Scientist with our European-based client. We currently have two opportunities for exceptional candidates in greater San Diego, CA area that meet the criteria in this position announcement.
This role is most ideally suited for recent PhD Cellular Biology graduates or early career PhD or MSc graduates with cell biology experience.

Main responsibilities:
- Plan and perform product demonstrations, installations, training, and presentations at end-user sites.
- Provide technical support for end-users via remote or onsite troubleshooting.
- Support marketing and sales in identifying key customer segments and help develop strategies to increase reach and revenue.
- Generate marketing, scientific and product-relevant material for prospective and existing customers.
- Current existing territory opportunities are in Southern California, neighboring states, and parts of Canada.
Key qualifications:
- Scientific background in biology
- Ph.D. or MSc in cell biology, immunology, cancer biology, or related field
- Experience with mammalian cell culture (Required)
- Flow cytometry and/or fluorescent microscopy experience (Preferred)
- GMP knowledge and/or experience is desirable
The ideal candidate:
- Will be eligible to work in the US. Our client is willing to offer OPT and visa sponsorship for the right candidate.
- Will be adaptable and have keen problem-solving skills, be highly driven and have a motivated work ethic.
- Be an excellent communicator and relationship builder as well as be a dynamic public speaker with strong writing skills.
- This is a remote role and will require 80-90% travel to customer sites within the successful hire’s territory.
Experience:
- Cell culture (primary, cell lines, apheresis): 3 years (Preferred)
- Flow cytometry and/or fluorescent microscopy: 1 year (Preferred)
