Supervised by a doctoral level psychologist and team of 2e experts, programming is informed by evidence-based best practices. Teachers and interns weave expert social, emotional and executive functioning skill building – all day, every day- into engaging, high interest and fun classes and activities.

The position is ideal for those who work in progressive and therapeutic school settings. For practitioners who have the summers off and are seeking additional experience with the twice exceptional community this job also gives valuable experience delivering psychosocial supervision to young professionals in the field. This role is also an excellent fit for practitioners with experience in school-based settings who may see private practice clients on the side. RESPONSIBILITIES

Individual Student Skill Building Plan

  • Supervise the creation and implementation of individualized social, emotional and executive function plans (SEEF Plans) for each student.
  • Communicate with outside providers and parents.
  • Conduct weekly psychosocial team meetings with staff and interns
  • Provide additional mentorship and supervision to psychosocial interns as needed
  • Advise and coach teachers, staff, and interns on each student’s individual needs, the psychosocial curriculum, and psychosocial clinical best practices
  • Recruit and assess applicants during admissions season *additional springtime hours as needed*

Psychology Education and Training

  • Recruit and supervise psychosocial interns and externs *additional springtime hours as needed*
  • Oversee data tracking of student goals through Daily Report Cards
  • Present professional development workshops for staff and didactic workshops during training periods
  • Present parent workshops regularly

REQUIRED CREDENTIALS

  • NYS license in Psychology; Doctoral (PsyD, PhD)
  • At least 2 years experience in a school-like or group setting
  • Experience With:
  • Supervising Undergraduate Students in Psychology
  • Providing recommendations and referrals for families who are requesting outside supports
  • Collaborating with outside providers
  • Collaborative & Proactive Solutions Lives in the Balance
  • Social Thinking ®
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
  • Children with Autism Spectrum and ADHD
  • Supervision and Training (experience with college-aged students preferred)
  • Social/emotional/behavioral plans
  • Gifted child experience

DATES AND COMPENSATION

  • Paid Orientation (remote with directors prior to program start date, appx. 30-40 hrs)
  • Program dates: June 22-August 15, 2026
  • Flexible days, hours between 8AM and 5:30PM with at least three days commitment to 3-5:30 PM completed within 2-4 days or up to 15 hours per week or more, pending enrollment
  • July 1 or 2 evening hours (Parent Orientation)
  • Hourly rate, biweekly pay periods, employee or contract, appx. $15k-$16k total gross

Pay: From $95.00 per hour
