Duties
- Lead and supervise the packaging team to achieve daily production targets with precision and efficiency
- Operate and monitor packaging machinery, ensuring optimal performance and quality output
- Troubleshoot equipment issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain continuous workflow
- Ensure proper use of material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks for safe movement of materials
- Enforce safety standards by adhering to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) protocols, and safety procedures
- Conduct routine inspections of machinery and packaging lines to identify maintenance needs or potential hazards
- Train team members on machine operation, safety practices, and proper packaging techniques to foster a knowledgeable workforce
Requirements
- Proven experience operating industrial packaging machines and equipment troubleshooting skills
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic repairs or identify mechanical issues quickly
- Familiarity with food production or manufacturing environments is highly desirable
- Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently
- Strong understanding of safety standards in production settings, including GMP compliance and PPE use
- Basic math skills for measurements, counts, and quality checks during packaging processes
- Knowledge of industrial equipment troubleshooting to resolve operational issues swiftly
- Commitment to safety protocol adherence and maintaining a clean, organized workspace
