Operating out of a 150,000-square-foot state-of-the-art facility in Doral, FL, we combine personalized care with the capability to meet diverse manufacturing needs. Pure Source is registered and certified by the FDA, the Florida Health Department, and the Department of Agriculture for the production of pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and nutritional products. Additionally, we are UL certified for manufacturing and distribution of cosmetics and topical OTC drugs and are registered with QAI for producing organic products.
Role Description – Junior Formulator
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Doral, FL. This position offers hands-on experience across multiple departments, giving you exposure to the full lifecycle of product development. Every day is different. You will create new formulas, test your ideas in the lab, and watch your creations turn into real products. It’s an excellent opportunity for anyone looking to break into the Personal Care and OTC industry.
As a Junior Formulator, you will support research and development activities, assist in formulating new products, and collaborate on technology transfer. Daily responsibilities include lab bench work, conducting experiments, analyzing results, and preparing clear, organized reports. You’ll partner closely with cross-functional teams to support product quality, safety, compliance, and innovation.
You will contribute to developing formulas for brands sold at major retailers such as Ulta, Sephora, Amazon, Whole Foods, CVS, Target, and more. Responsibilities also include reverse formulation, drafting ingredient lists, evaluating formula stability, and performing regulatory and brand-standards research to ensure full compliance.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Laboratory Skills and hands-on experience in conducting experiments
- Understanding of and involvement in Technology Transfer processes
- Experience in Research and Development (R&D), including developing and improving products
- Knowledge and application of Formulation and Research techniques
- Attention to detail and ability to document results accurately
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a relevant scientific field
- Experience in the pharmaceutical, personal care, or nutraceutical industries is a plus
