We are now looking for experienced pet care professionals with great customer service abilities to join our team and ensure our clients receive top-notch care. The Kennel Technician work most closely with our guests. They are responsible for keeping a safe and calm environment for the dogs. The following is a list of general responsibilities for the Kennel Attendant position.
Previous Experience Required
Responsibilities:
- Clean and disinfect the kennels
- Provide animals with food and water according to our feeding schedule
- Give animals in our care their medication as directed by veterinarians and vet techs
- Walk and play with the animals
- Help with bathing and grooming tasks
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with animals in a veterinary clinic, animal shelter, or similar setting is preferred
- Knowledge of animal care practices and basic veterinary procedures
- Ability to handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
Preferred Skills:
- Veterinary technician or veterinary assistant certification is a plus
- Experience in pet sitting or dog training is beneficial
