SLOT BENCH TECHNICIAN

Position Summary

Responsible for maintenance, repairs and general operating condition of slot machines, video machines, and electronic boards.  Bill acceptors, coin acceptors, and hoppers etc.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Troubleshoots and repairs all electronic equipment, including slot machines, bill validators, signs, ticket printers and other gaming-related devices.
2. Troubleshoots and repairs all circuitry and electrical components.
3. Assists with installations, conversions and machine moves.
4. Assists with the training development of the slot employees.
5. Responsible for following internal control procedures as they apply to department.
6. Adheres to Title 31 procedures.
7. Maintains accurate inventory of slot machines and spare parts.
8. Performs additional duties and responsibilities as necessary or assigned.
9. Punctual and regular attendance is an essential responsibility for all team members and are expected to report to work based upon the assigned schedule each day in accordance with the Attendance Policy for Pueblo Sandia. 

 Additional Responsibilities

1. Supports a single function and holds a position that does not supervise people but provides guidance to lower-level Team Members as needed. 
2. Functions as an advisor to management due to the complexity of the level of work performed.
3. May hold current licenses, certifications, specialized education, and possess stipulated technical expertise as required.
4. Demonstrates advanced knowledge in all aspects of the specialized function. 
5. Performs work as a highly skilled individual contributor and considered a subject matter expert within the peer set, particularly with problem-solving.
6. Critical thinking and the ability to analyze issues, identify solutions, and implement them effectively.
7. Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills in building a cohesive working relationship with co-workers and internal/external contact.

 Key Performance Indicators

This position has Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) identified as a measurement of success.  KPI’s will be shared with all team members who work in this job title and feedback will be provided regarding the successful completion of the KPI’s as part of the performance review process.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

2. Ability to read schematics.
3. Ability to trouble shoot to the component level on video monitors and PC Boards using electronic equipment.
4. Ability to make judgments and decisions regarding customer and employee complaints.
5. Ability to deal effectively with the general public and casino staff.
6. Ability to develop and implement training needs for employees and Tribal members.
7. Knowledge of Casino operations, Tribal, federal and state reporting requirements.
8. Knowledge of all slot and gaming operations.
9. Excellent customer service skills.
10. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
11. Ability to work under extreme pressure and levels of stress.
12. Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.

   Education and Experience

Required:

1. Associate degree in Electronics
2. Four (4) years of slot tech experience..
3. Must be at least 21 years of age.

Preferred:

Note: Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling four (4) years may substitute for the required education and experience.

Licenses/Certifications/Registrations

1. Must be able to obtain and maintain the required STGC Gaming License.
2. Will require a pre-employment and random drug screening.
3. Must possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted New Mexico Driver’s License.

Job requirements include, in the performance of duties, walking throughout the work area, on various work surfaces throughout internal or external locations.

Stooping

Working Conditions Required:

1. Work is performed indoors.
2. Work hours subject to change with overtime required.
3. Must be able to work long hours under stressful conditions.
4. Subject to hazards which may cause personal bodily harm, smoke, common colds, influenza, dust, odors, and elevated noise levels.
5. Tasks may be performed on uneven, inclined, hard and soft carpeted floors, cement structures and surfaces.
6. Duties may involve walking, standing for long periods of time, sitting and crouching.
7. Specific required movements include the following:
