Position Summary

Responsible for assisting the Poker Room Management in answering the phone, signing guest into Bravo, assisting with paperwork, delivery of chips and the cleaning of the Poker Room.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Knowledge of Poker games, types and limits.
2. Responsible for answering telephone calls in a professional manner with appropriate greetings.
3. Responsible for keeping the board up-to-date and notifying players for table assignments.
4. Responsible for the continuous monitoring of the Poker Room.
5. Count, verify and sign for banks issued.
6. Complete customer transactions to include proper verification of cash/chip exchange and conversion.
7. Maintain strict adherence to Sandia Resort and Casino System of Internal Controls.
8. Responsible for maintaining necessary records: exchange sheets, shortage/overage form.
9. Responsible for adhering to Title 31 procedures.
10. Responsible for maintaining communication with Surveillance and Security to ensure the protection of casino assets, customers employees and casino property.
11. Assists with payouts for bad beat jackpots and tournaments.
12. Punctual and regular attendance is an essential responsibility for all team members and are expected to report to work based upon the assigned schedule each day in accordance with the Attendance Policy for Pueblo of Sandia. 

 Additional Responsibilities

1. Perform additional duties and responsibilities as necessary or assigned.
2. A quality guest service experience is an essential component for all Team members working at the Pueblo of Sandia particularly those positions assigned to work in all public areas.

 Key Performance Indicators

This position has Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) identified as a measurement of success.  KPI’s will be shared with all team members who work in this job title and feedback will be provided regarding the successful completion of the KPI’s as part of the performance review process.

9. Ability to keep accurate records.
10. Ability to use cage equipment: 10 Key calculator, money sorters and counters.
11. Ability to receive and verify large amounts of money/chips.
12. Ability to complete moderately complex arithmetic calculations.
13. Ability to pass cashier’s test.

   Education and Experience  

Required:

1. High School Diploma, GED certification or equivalent.
2. One (1) year customer service and cashier experience preferred.
3. Cash handling experience preferred.
4. Must be at least 21 years of age.
5. Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.

Note:  Relevant work experience or education may be substituted to satisfy education and/or work experience. 

Licenses/Certifications/Registrations

1. Must be able to obtain and maintain the required STGC Gaming License.
2. Will require a pre-employment and random drug screening.

Working Conditions Required:

1. Work is performed indoors.
2. Work hours are subject to change with overtime work required.
3. Subject to hazards, which may cause personal bodily harm, smoke, common colds, influenza, dust, odors and elevated noise levels.
4. Tasks may be performed on uneven, inclined, hard and soft-carpeted floors.  Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
