ACCTS PAYABLE CLERK

Position Summary

Responsible for assisting in processing accounts payable in an efficient manner and making payments on a timely and accurate basis.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Accurately matches Purchasing, Shipping & Receiving, and Accounts Payable documents in order to enter invoice information.
2. Actively researches invoice problems such as pricing, wrong quantities, and no purchase orders.
3. Assists in maintaining complete vendor information and contract files.
4. Assists in maintaining W-9 and 1099 reporting. 
5. Assists in reconciling open invoice reports to general ledger balance.
6. Ensures all vendor discounts are taken.
7. Punctual and regular attendance is an essential responsibility for all team members and are expected to report to work based upon the assigned schedule each day in accordance with the Attendance Policy for Pueblo of Sandia.

   Education and Experience  

Required:

1. High School Diploma or GED certification.
2. One (1) year of experience in accounting or bookkeeping
3. Must be at least 21 years of age.

Preferred:

1. Associates degree in Accounting or related field.

Note:  Relevant work experience or education may be substituted to satisfy education and/or work experience. 

License/Certifications/Registrations

1. Must be able to obtain and maintain the required STGC Gaming License
2. Will require a pre-employment and random drug screening.

Balancing

Particularly for sustained periods of time.

Stooping

Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires full motion of the lower extremities and back muscles.

Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
