About the Opportunity
A well-regarded behavioral health program in East Texas is seeking a Board Eligible or Board Certified Psychiatrist to join its team. This position offers flexibility, with opportunities to practice in a inpatient behavioral health hospital or to establish an outpatient-only clinic, depending on your preference.
The inpatient program includes acute psychiatric care as well as a rehabilitative track for non-violent forensic patients, offering a diverse and rewarding patient mix. The program serves a large regional population across East and East Central Texas and is known for its collaborative team environment and strong reputation for patient care.
Key Responsibilities

Provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment plans for a diverse patient population

Manage patient care in inpatient or outpatient settings (based on provider preference)

Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications and other therapies

Conduct follow-up visits to ensure continuity and treatment adherence

Collaborate with psychologists, therapists, advanced practice providers, and nursing staff

Accurately document encounters in EMR and adhere to regulatory standards

Contribute to quality improvement and best practice initiatives
