Essential Position Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients with gastrointestinal symptoms and conditions.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including lab work, imaging, and endoscopic findings.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans under the supervision of collaborating physicians.
- Educate patients and families on digestive health, treatment options, and preventive care.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care and optimal outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical case reviews as required.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program (MSN or DNP).
- Licensure & Certification: Active/Eligible Nurse Practitioner license in New York; national certification required.
- Experience: Prior gastroenterology or internal medicine experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
