Position Summary
The facility is seeking a Dermatology Physician Assistant to join its expanding Dermatology team in Bronx, New York. This is a full-time opportunity. The role focuses on providing high-quality dermatologic care by evaluating, diagnosing, and managing patients with a variety of skin conditions while collaborating closely with supervising dermatologists to ensure comprehensive and patient-centered treatment.
Essential Position Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations including detailed medical histories and skin examinations.

Diagnose and manage common dermatologic conditions such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, fungal infections, and skin lesions.

Perform dermatologic procedures such as biopsies, cryotherapy, lesion removal, and other minor in-office procedures within scope of practice.

Assist dermatologists in identifying and managing complex skin conditions including skin cancers and chronic dermatologic diseases.

Order and interpret diagnostic tests including pathology reports and laboratory studies when necessary.

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.

Provide medication management including topical, oral, and injectable dermatologic therapies.

Educate patients on skin health, preventive care, treatment adherence, and lifestyle modifications.

Assist with cosmetic dermatology procedures if applicable, such as chemical peels or other non-invasive treatments.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic health record (EHR).

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and interdisciplinary team meetings.
Qualifications
Education:
Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
Certification:
National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) certification required.
Licensure:
Active or eligible Physician Assistant license in New York.
DEA registration (or eligibility).
Experience:
Prior experience in dermatology or a related specialty preferred.
New graduates with strong clinical training and interest in dermatology are encouraged to apply.
