Position Summary
The facility is seeking a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) to join its expanding Women’s Health team in Bronx, New York. This is a full-time opportunity.The role emphasizes preventive women’s health, education, and continuity of care while supporting safe, evidence-based maternity services.

Essential Position Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive prenatal, labor, delivery, and postpartum care.

Conduct routine gynecologic exams, well-woman visits, and family planning services.

Manage low- to moderate-risk pregnancies and collaborate with OB/GYN physicians for high-risk cases.

Perform vaginal deliveries and provide intrapartum management as credentialed.

Provide contraceptive counseling and management, including IUD and implant placement (as trained).

Diagnose and treat common gynecologic conditions and infections.

Educate patients on pregnancy, childbirth preparation, breastfeeding, and newborn care.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic health record (EHR).

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and interdisciplinary team meetings.
Qualifications
Education:
-
Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nurse Midwifery from an accredited program.
Certification:
-
Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) through the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB).
Licensure:
-
Active or eligible Registered Nurse (RN) and Nurse Midwife license in New York.

DEA registration (or eligibility).
Experience:

Prior clinical midwifery experience preferred.

New graduates with strong clinical training are encouraged to apply.
