Job Summary:

The Assistant Manager Behavioral Health Outpatient Program (BHOP) CCBHC supports daily operations for their team, including staff supervision, scheduling, performance monitoring, and compliance with program and regulatory standards to ensure continuity and quality of care. This includes providing leadership and performing direct service duties when applicable. They help to sustain a continuum of care that promotes recovery, diverts clients from hospitalization when clinically appropriate, supports timely step-down services for those transitioning from inpatient care, and coordinates appropriate client services with Emergency Services and community partners.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist the Manager with daily operations, workflow management, and departmental support.

Help with staff scheduling, productivity oversight, and general administrative coordination.

Assist with running morning and clinical meetings; facilitate these meetings in absence of the Manager.

Assist in monitoring caseloads, documentation quality, service delivery standards, and staff productivity. (See addendum for program standards)

Support onboarding, orientation, and ongoing training of new and existing staff.

Provide supervision of team members as directed by leadership.

Support staff with crisis intervention, risk assessments, and service coordination.

Complete or support client intakes, assessments, and person-centered treatment planning.

Deliver or support recovery-oriented clinical services and daily living skills assistance.

Help in troubleshooting client and staff concerns, providing follow-up as needed.

Support staff hiring, onboarding, training, development, and performance evaluations.

Address performance issues, assist in providing coaching to team members and promote a collaborative, professional team culture. May collaborate with HR partners on disciplinary actions as necessary.

Conduct or participate in community outreach visits, home visits, and client accompaniment to appointments.

Transport clients safely in accordance with agency policies when needed.

Coordinate services internally and with external providers, advocating client needs across systems.

Assist clients with benefits acquisition, housing needs, budgeting, and other essential supports.

Maintain accurate, timely documentation including notes, plans of care, and adherence to confidentiality and safety protocols.

Participate in audits, record reviews, and quality-improvement activities.

Complete required reports, approve timesheets in absence of the Manager, and support billing and productivity oversight.

Collaborate effectively with team members, leadership, and community partners; communicate updates as needed.

Attend required trainings and meetings and participate in committees as requested.

Requirements:

Master's Degree Required

Minimum 2 years of experience working with individuals with behavioral health diagnoses in a community support setting.

Experience in program management related to assertive community treatment or similar teams a plus.

RI licensure preferred: LICSW, LCSW, LMHC, LMHC-A, LMFT, LMFT-A, LCDP

In-depth knowledge of outpatient treatment modalities, mental health and addiction treatment, and managed care processes.

Experience with case management, crisis intervention, and risk management..

Must have valid driver's license, registration, current inspection sticker and insured automobile.
