Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of residential properties. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, a comprehensive understanding of property management regulations, and exceptional customer service and problem solving abilities. This role involves managing leasing activities and maintaining compliance with applicable laws such as Fair Housing regulations and Landlord-Tenant Law. The Property Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for tenants, ensuring the efficient and profitable operation of all managed properties.
Duties
- Manage property leasing processes, including tenant screening, lease signings, and marketing rentals.
- Assistance with ensuring lease compliance including communicating with tenants regarding late payments and lease violations.
- Handle tenant relations, addressing concerns promptly while maintaining positive customer relationships through excellent phone etiquette and conflict management skills.
- Ensure compliance with Section 8, Fair Housing regulations, and other legal requirements related to property management.
- Conduct data entry, filing, and administrative tasks related to property records, contracts, and legal documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of rent collections, payments, and tenant communications in property management software.
- Support the preparation of budgets, reports, and financial documentation for property owners.
Requirements
- At least 2 years experience in property management.
- Knowledge of Section 8 housing regulations, Fair Housing laws, landlord-tenant law, contracts, and legal administrative procedures.
- Proficiency with property management software and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent customer service skills with professional phone etiquette and conflict resolution abilities
- Office experience including data entry, filing, document preparation, and administrative support functions
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively within a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills combined with attention to detail in contract management and legal compliance
