Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and versatile Maintenance Worker to join our team and ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of apartment buildings and other rental properties. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance tasks, including painting, drywall repair, flooring installation, minor plumbing and electrical repairs, and general building upkeep. We also occasionally do remodeling work including replacing cabinets, countertops, tile, tubs, toilets, and other miscellaneous tasks. This position offers an opportunity to apply your mechanical knowledge and skills in a dynamic setting.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on buildings, fixtures, and equipment using hand tools and power tools.
- Snow removal during winter months to ensure safe access around the property.
- Perform maintenance, renovation, and cleaning tasks in order to prepare vacant units for rent.
- General grounds maintenance and cleaning
- Inspect vacant properties to ensure proper use and upkeep of the property.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated mechanical knowledge with experience in maintenance or construction environments. 2 years experience preferred.
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform manual labor for long hours when needed
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail in maintenance tasks.
- Active driver's license and a reasonably good driving record
- Ability to work well with others or alone
- Ability to communicate well with other employees and tenants
Pay: $24.00 - $35.00 per hour
