We take pride in our extensive experience in industrial wastewater engineering and operations.This role ensures that all systems, equipment, and processes meet design specifications, regulatory standards, and operational requirements. The Construction Commissioning Representative will coordinate with contractors, engineers, and plant operators to validate system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure a seamless transition from construction to startup operation. This position requires extensive travel (75%) within the continental United States and may involve temporary relocation for up to 12 months during the project. ** The company will provide a company credit card to cover housing, ground transportation, living expenses, transportation to project sites, and meal allowance. This position will also be provided with a company cell phone and computer.** The ideal candidate would be based in central Wisconsin, but candidates based in Wisconsin, Florida, Texas, or Arizona will be considered.Key Responsibilities for the Construction Commissioning Representative: Construction & Commissioning: Oversee the commissioning of completed wastewater systemsReview engineering designs, specifications, and contractor submittals to ensure compliance with project objectives and industry best practicesConduct inspections and functional testing of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems, including pumps, blowers, clarifiers, filters, chemical dosing systems, and automation controlsDevelop and execute commissioning plans, checklists, and performance validation protocolsIdentify, document, and resolve equipment and system deficiencies before facility handoverPrepare detailed commissioning reports, document test results, and recommend operational optimizationsServe as a liaison between construction teams, engineers, regulatory agencies, and client representatives to ensure smooth project executionAssist in process optimization and performance tuning to meet discharge limits and operational efficiency goalsTravel extensively to project sites, with the possibility of temporary relocation for up to 12 months, depending on project needsWhen not actively commissioning a project, you will be expected to act in an RPR role for projectsResident Project Representative (RPR):Relocate to the job site for the duration of the projectIndependently manage the construction phase of a wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) project Ensure the construction project remains on schedule and on budget by working with the project contractors, the client, the Probst Director of Construction Management, and the Probst Engineering team Support the Probst Engineering staff and clients by providing superb customer service and availability Utilize Probst's collective knowledge base to solve construction-related field issues Foster and maintain good relations with the contractor teams and Probst network of partners Ensure implementation and compliance with site-specific health and safety programs at all times Establish site office, communications, and wastewater treatment plant equipment storage area on-site Maintain client satisfaction Maintain redline drawing sets for all trades for use in preparing as-built documents Maintain all project documents - including RFIs, change orders, supplemental and shop drawings, health and safety program permits, etc. Other duties as assignedRequirements:Up to 75% overnight travel is possible, with the ability to relocate or travel for extended periods of time to the job sites for the duration of assigned projects Minimum high school diploma2 years of industrial maintenance and/or industrial construction experienceFamiliarity with low-voltage wiring systems and schematicsExcellent mechanical skills & aptitudeFamiliarity with equipment maintenance proceduresAbility to understand WWTP unit processesAbility to read and understand P&ID and mechanical or electrical drawingsUnderstanding of WWTP instrumentation and controlsAbility to write standard operating procedures for start-upStrong interpersonal skills, including problem-solving, effective verbal and written communication, collaborative troubleshooting, and working in a high-pressure environmentPreferred Experiences:Preferred Technical Degree from an accredited institution3-5 years Wastewater experienceHands-on knowledge of wastewater treatment equipment, including blowers, pumps, motors, actuated valves, etc.Familiarity with wastewater analytical lab equipment and proceduresVeterans are strongly encouraged to apply
