Screen Print Press Operator

The Print Giants is looking for an experienced, dependable Screen Printer / Production Specialist to join our growing production team.

This position is primarily focused on screen printing, with additional responsibilities assisting our DTF (Direct-to-Film) production department as needed. We are looking for someone who understands apparel production, pays attention to detail, takes pride in quality work, and can help keep jobs moving efficiently through production.

Primary Responsibilities – Screen Printing

• Set up and operate a manual screen-printing press.
• Prepare screens, inks, garments, and production materials for scheduled jobs.
• Properly register and print single-color and multi-color designs.
• Maintain consistent print placement, ink coverage, and overall print quality.
• Mix and prepare inks when necessary.
• Perform test prints and make adjustments before beginning production runs.
• Load and unload garments efficiently while maintaining production quality.
• Monitor curing temperatures and proper ink cure.
• Identify printing issues and make appropriate adjustments during production.
• Follow work orders carefully, including garment quantities, sizes, colors, artwork, and print locations.
• Maintain accurate production counts and minimize spoilage.
• Clean screens, tools, squeegees, work areas, and production equipment.
• Assist with reclaiming screens and preparing screens for future production.
• Help organize incoming and completed production jobs.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient production environment.

DTF Production Support

While screen printing will be the primary responsibility, this position will also support our growing DTF department.

Responsibilities may include:

• Assisting with DTF printing and production.
• Preparing artwork files and production queues as trained.
• Applying DTF transfers using commercial heat presses.
• Positioning transfers accurately on garments.
• Following proper temperature, pressure, and pressing procedures.
• Performing quality-control checks on completed garments.
• Trimming, organizing, and preparing transfers for production.
• Assisting with large-volume DTF orders when production demand requires additional support.
• Helping package and prepare completed orders for pickup, delivery, or shipping.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate:

• Has previous screen-printing production experience.
• Is comfortable operating a manual screen-printing press.
• Understands screen registration, ink coverage, curing, and garment placement.
• Can maintain quality while working at a productive pace.
• Has strong attention to detail.
• Can follow production instructions and work orders accurately.
• Is dependable and understands the importance of production deadlines.
• Is willing to learn and assist with DTF printing and heat-press production.
• Works well independently and as part of a production team.
• Takes ownership of their work and identifies problems before they become customer issues.
• Keeps their workspace organized and production-ready.

DTF experience is a plus but is not required for an experienced screen printer. We are willing to train the right person on our DTF workflow.

Physical Requirements

This is an active production position. Candidates should be comfortable:

• Standing for extended periods.
• Repeating printing and garment-loading motions throughout a production shift.
• Working around production equipment and heat presses.
• Lifting and moving boxes of apparel and production materials.
• Working in a fast-paced print-shop environment.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25.0 per week
