Senior Data Engineer

This successful firm is looking for a Data Engineer to join its growing Data & Analytics team and help build the next generation of its cloud-native data platform. With the advent of AI changing the landscape this firm seeks that special individual who is curious and looking to innovate and deliver business solutions.

This is a hands-on, senior role for someone who wants real ownership — designing and scaling ELT pipelines, driving data quality standards, and shaping a modern architecture built on Snowflake, dbt, Prefect, Fivetran, Atlan, Sigma, and Azure. You'll work closely with senior leadership to push the platform forward, incorporating data mesh principles and AI-driven engineering to power critical investment decisions.

What You'll Do

• Build and maintain scalable pipelines, ingesting data from databases, APIs, and external sources into Snowflake
• Own data quality end-to-end — validation, monitoring, and SLAs
• Serve as a go-to technical resource, leading initiatives on complex data engineering challenges
• Partner cross-functionally to design robust data models and pipelines
• Set the standard for orchestration (Prefect), transformation (dbt), and CI/CD best practices
• Help evolve the platform's governed data products and cataloging capabilities
• Design AI-driven, automated pipelines to accelerate onboarding and analytics delivery

What They're Looking For

• 4–10 years of data engineering experience, with ownership of large-scale data platforms
• Financial services background strongly preferred (asset or investment management)
• Deep hands-on expertise in Snowflake, SQL, Python, and dbt
• Experience with orchestration tools like Prefect or Airflow
• Solid grasp of data modeling concepts (dimensional modeling, normalization)
• Cloud environment experience
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-impact setting with strong communication skills
