WHY THIS ROLE
Looking for a healthcare role where you can combine hands-on patient care with the variety of a medical office? Primary Health Network is seeking a Medical Office Assistant to support patients and providers through both clinical and front-office responsibilities while helping create an efficient, welcoming patient experience.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Prepare patients for visits, including vital signs, height and weight, chief complaints, and medication review.
- Assist providers and nurses with patient care and clinical procedures.
- Perform approved clinical procedures such as venipuncture, injections, specimen collection, and routine testing based on training and clinical privileges.
- Prepare prescription refills under provider direction and assist with medication prior authorizations.
- Support patient scheduling, registration, phone communication, and other front-office needs.
- Help maintain patient flow and a safe, welcoming environment.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant program and/or relevant direct patient-care experience.
- Strong clinical knowledge and patient-care skills.
- Current CPR certification.
- Computer proficiency and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Venipuncture and injection experience preferred.
COMPENSATION
Starting pay/range: $17 PHN recognizes experience, education, credentials, and site location when determining wage, as applicable.
