Weekly Salary Range: $1153-1346
Position Overview:
General supervision of the Sea Spa team including massage therapists, estheticians, nails technicians, spa concierges, and spa attendants. Responsible for administrative duties as well as supervision of spa support staff.
These duties may be described as, but not limited to:
- Assistthe spasupervisorwith coaching,counselingand mentoring staff. Provide input andparticipatein performanceevaluations,interviewsand terminationsin accordancetospa standards.
- Maintain department scheduling inPMSand Maestrosystemsfor the season. Assistin callouts andprovidingproper coverage according to business demands.
- Ability to work 5days/40hrs weekly according to business needs and hotel occupancy. Provide administrative coverage asnecessaryincluding desk duties, phonecoverageand/or necessary daily operational service needs.
- Order andmaintainprofessionalback-bar and retail products. Inventory as needed and coordinate ordering of necessary product with spa manager. Create and send Purchase Orders, ensure each departmentmaintainssupplies as needed.
- Maintain detailed andaccuratevendor information for all Spa vendors.
- Ensure department is able toaccommodatetreatments during all business hours. Maintainconsistent spa service standards through treatments that enhance theguest’sexperience to exceedexpectation.
- Ability to coordinate with Housekeeping tofaclitatereadiness and resetting ofspa fortreatments as business volume dictates.
- Communicate with Maintenance to ensure proper functioning of all facilities and amenities.
- Participate andfacilitateongoing education/trainings,including:keepingteamup to date with requiredcontinuing education necessary for licensing, and ongoing industry trends. Product training and create SOP for services provided.
- Update policies and procedure manuals as needed.
- Responsible to resolve daily operational situations in the absence of lead therapist and spa manager. Fosterspositiveworking environment and brings forth solutions to continue to raise the bar in the spa.
Administrative Duties:
- Ability tothoroughly and effectively navigate spa software
- Professionally demeanor on all phonecalls
- Follow opening and closing procedures
- Attend manager meetingsasrequiredand updates the teamwith pertinent information
- Check spa e-mail, voicemail, and spa mail as needed
- Communicate withDOOpertinent demands and informationregardingspa
- Responsible to promote/communicate andfacilitatepromotional ideas, trends, and menu changes with spamanagerto support spa marketing initiatives.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Mustpossessexcellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Mustpossessgood computational ability.
- Mustpossessexcellent computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel,Outlookand Internet Explorer.
- Mustpossessgood typing skills.
- Must have exceptional organizational skills.
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks and projects daily.
- Must be able to sit at a desk for up to 8 hours per day. Walking and standing are occasionally required. Lengthof time of these tasks may vary from day to day and task to task.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School or equivalent educationrequired.
- A current valid New York State massage licenserequired.
- Must be licensed infiledandmaintainCEU status.
- 2 yearspreviousexperience in a spa setting.
- All employees mustmaintaina neat,cleanand well-groomed appearance per ThePridwinstandards.
- Must provide customer service excellence and be a positive team player.
