Lead We are seeking a dedicated Assembly Lead to join our team at our
Building 2 location in Sussex, WI. In this role, you will provide
essential leadership and direction to the production team on our
Slat-Waste Production Line (Rounds Cell), overseeing the fabrication and
assembly of high-quality site furnishings. You will be the operational
heartbeat of your department, setting the daily pace, managing
production schedules, and ensuring all products meet our rigorous
quality standards. By maintaining a strong floor presence, you will
foster a cohesive, high-performing environment that delivers excellent
products in a safe, productive, and efficient manner. What You\'ll Do
Lead with a servant leadership mindset, maintaining a constant presence
on the floor alongside your team and filling operational gaps as needed.
Set the daily pace for the department and utilize production schedules
to align, discuss, and communicate clear daily priorities. Perform
thorough quality inspections on all finished products, verifying proper
hardware/assembly and checking for any physical or cosmetic defects.
Work with other departments to align priorities, contact Engineering
with quality or manufacturing concerns to formulate solutions, and
partner with Sales for product reviews when needed. Utilize the ERP
system to accurately reflect material usage and order completions while
partnering with the inventory team to ensure counts are exact. Serve as
the go-to resource for your team regarding proper construction methods
and actively seek ways to improve systems and processes on the floor.
What You Bring A minimum of 2 years of manufacturing leadership
experience. Exceptional proficiency in interpreting bills of materials
and technical illustrations, as well as accurate use of tape measures.
Proven capability in fabricating and assembling diverse product lines
and skilled operation of various drills and drivers. Operational
familiarity with inventory management and ERP software, alongside
competence in Google Workspace applications (Sheets, Docs, Gmail).
Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills to align
priorities across teams. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and complete
repetitive tasks for extended periods, and comfortably lift up to 50
