Responsibilities
- Provide attentive supervision and care for infants, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, cognitive, and emotional development in infants
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
- Communicate effectively with parents about their child's progress, milestones, and daily experiences
- Follow all health and safety protocols, including first aid, CPR, and pediatric first aid procedures
- Support classroom management by establishing routines that foster independence and positive behavior
- Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent care practices and adhere to early childhood education standards
- Document developmental observations and participate in ongoing training related to childhood development and special education needs
Experience
- Prior experience working with infants in a daycare center or preschool setting is highly preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of child development instruction and early childhood education principles
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques, behavior management strategies, and mandated reporting laws
- Childcare experience including nannying or babysitting that involves infant care is valuable
- Certification in first aid, CPR, pediatric first aid, or related health safety training is required or highly desirable
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with parents and team members while maintaining professionalism
